As we move into the fall season we anticipate the annual changing of colors as the many shades of green turn to spectacular golden yellow, vibrant orange, red, black, gray, brown and all in-between. All of nature turns into a magnificent display of God’s artistry and we get to behold the beauty of the wonderful world He has made.
This is the time of year that the tides are higher at the beach, the sunrises and sunsets become indescribable in their majesty. The cool nights are refreshing and the long-awaited change in climate begins to unfold. A look up into the heavens from some dark spot of the world reveals the millions of stars that God has placed in the universe, each one occupying a specific place in the order he has created. The words of Psalm 19:1 come to mind, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” And Psalm 33:6-9, “The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born. He assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs. Let the whole world fear the Lord, and let everyone stand in awe of him. For when he spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command.” And Psalm 8:3-4, “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?”
Take time during this fall season to contemplate the greatness of God. Be still, and get to know God better”. Take time to appreciate the beauty that God has created. Take time to thank Him that He has placed you on this earth, created in His image, to bring glory and honor to His name. Thank Him for the salvation he has provided to “all who believe” through Jesus Christ His Son. Commit yourself to be faithful to Him all the days of your life.” “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” (Psalm 100:4)
In His Love,
