Worship service featuring the sermon “First Things First” given by Guest Preacher Rev. David Mallory; including scriptures from Genesis 1:1-5; and music performed by music director Risa Poniros and pianist Cheryl Walker.
We are pleased to welcome Rev. David Mallory as our guest preacher. Rev. Mallory is an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master’s of Divinity Degree from Texas Christian University.
He was the Senior Minister at First Christian Church in Albany, Texas for seven years before serving fifteen years as Senior Minister at Hillyer Memorial Christian Church, Raleigh until he retired in March 2018. He currently does pulpit supply, clergy coaching and part time work for Church World Service and has previously served in leadership roles for several non-profit organizations.
David and his wife, Amy, have two children (Stacey and Robert) and he is the proud “Poppy” of three wonderful grandchildren.
Rev. Mallory has published one book entitled: “Preacher Ponderings: Reflections on Life in the Parish.”
