Worship service featuring the sermon “The Storm Can Have a Purpose in Your Life” given by Interim Pastor Rev. Johnny Richards; including scriptures from Matthew 8:23-27; and music performed by music director Risa Poniros, pianist Cheryl Walker, and the choir.
Storms. Wind, rain, thunder and lightning. There are not many people who feel comfortable when they are in the midst of a storm. Whether the storm brings destruction or not, it is not a comfortable place. In our message for today, our pastor continues his sermon series, “An Interesting Thing Happened at the Lake”, as he talks about a time when the disciples were in a storm. Jesus was with them, but they failed to see it. Our pastor shares how there are times when storms serve a huge purpose in our lives.
Points to Remember:
- Storms can come up quickly
- All storms are not the same size
- Jesus doesn’t leave us during the storm
- Matthew 8:23 - 27
