Summary

Our youth and children lead this special worship service by performing a skit, interpreting a song in sign language, presenting art and reading the scriptures from Romans 12:1-2. The sermon “Transformed by the Potter’s Hand” is given by Guest Preacher Michelle Anderson with music performed by music director Risa Poniros and pianist Cheryl Walker.

We are pleased to welcome Michelle Anderson as our guest preacher. Michelle grew up in western North Carolina in the small town of Rutherfordton. She attended Wake Forest University and received a BA in Psychology. After graduating, she attended Campbell University Divinity School, graduating in 2007 with a Masters of Divinity in Christian Education. Michelle served as Associate Pastor for Family Ministries at Westwood Baptist Church in Cary for nearly 16 years. She currently works as a Bereavement Coordinator at Heartland Hospice in Raleigh, where she has served since April of 2020. Michelle is married to Ben, who is the Media Specialist at McGee’s Crossroads Elementary School. They have 7-year-old twins, Hannah and Noah, who are in 1st grade. In her spare time Michelle loves spending time with her family and fishing.
